Server Related

Definitions
  • Abuse: Misuse of ones power or ability to give oneself an unfair advantage in what would normally be considered a roleplay or event situation. Using staff abilities off duty is prohibited unless eye witnessing a violation of the rules first hand and acting in a way that enforces the rules.

    Examples of 'Abuse' may be found on our forums.


  • Appeal: Typed form used to suggest the reversal of a staff decision.


  • Assault: Physically laying hands on another person without their consent.

  • Bigotry: Intolerance toward those who hold different opinions from oneself.


  • Camping: Staying in the same area for an extended time.

  • Exploit: To make use of meanly or unfairly for one's own advantage.

    Examples:
    A. Utilizing an in game bug or mechanic to obtain an advantage.
    B. Using a prop to break the map.


  • Harassment: Repeated verbal communication or actions directed at one person after being asked to stop by said person.

    Examples:
  1. Spamming insults at another player.
  2. Intentionally trying to get players banned from Auto RDM Detection.
  3. Not leaving a player alone when asked to.


  • Racism: Prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior.


  • Revenge Kill: Respawning, after being killed by a player, only to find and kill that player.


  • Sexual Harassment: Repeated verbal communication of a sexual explicit nature directed at one person after being asked to stop by said person. A one time pick up line is not sexual harassment.


  • Slander: Intentionally spreading a lie to others with malicious intent to harm the character of another.


  • Spam: Communication, either typed or vocally transmitted, that is repeated with intention to flood a chatroom with an unaltered message or headphones of another player with an undesired sound.


  • Teaming: When two or more players intentionally work towards a common goal.


  • Threat: Verbal or physical communication of the intention to cause harm to another person or another person's property.
General Rules
(A) Communication Rules

  1. If you are unsure about something ask a staff member before you do it.


Punishment: None


  1. Be respectful to all players out-of-character (OOC.)

Do not mock, ridicule, bully, or use explicit language towards other players. Debates are okay, however, personal attacks rather than an intellectual standpoint is not okay. Example: Calling someone "stupid" is not an acceptable debate point.


Minimum Punishment: Verbal Warning

Maximum Punishment: 2 Day Ban


  1. Any threats, harassment, action, or intent to harm other players in the community, the community itself, or the servers or websites related there to is absolutely forbidden. Actions include but are not limited to: Hacking, exploiting, cheating, scripting, DDOSing, putting props in a door to break them, or using a third party program to get an unfair advantage.


Minimum Punishment: 1 Month Ban

Maximum Punishment: Permanent Ban


  1. Do not complain about staffing decisions in game or in global chat. Appeals or reports can be made on the forums.


Minimum Punishment: Warn

Maximum Punishment:1 Day Ban

  • No advertising other servers or communities without explicit permission from the Owner.


Punishment: Permanent Ban


  • No microphone spam or chat spam.


Minimum Punishment: Warn

Maximum Punishment: 3 Day Ban

  • Do not encourage other players to break rules. This includes using ( OOC ) chat which instructs another player to use out of game knowledge to Metagame (defined below.)


Punishment: Punishment of the encouraged broken rule.

  1. No pornographic or sexually explicit sprays and/or drawings on the visible surfaces of the playing area.


Minimum Punishment: 3 Month Ban

Maximum Punishment: Permanent Ban

(B) Action Rules

  1. Do not stand in the middle of a door way to prevent players from accessing a room (Body Blocking.) Intentionally stopping someone from pressing a button with ones player character may be considered as Body Blocking.


Minimum Punishment: Warn

Maximum Punishment: 1 Day Ban


  • Blocking door ways with props in a way that inhibits the ability to pass through the door way is prohibited.


Minimum Punishment: Warn

Maximum Punishment: 3 Day Ban


  • Camping in any area of Site 8 or Site 19 is permitted if you are a Foundation class. Class D may camp to survive in any area. Chaos Insurgency may camp anywhere for tactical reasons. SCP may camp their cell indefinitely but may not camp human spawn rooms.


Punishment: None


  • Killing a player during a 'staff' or 'admin' sit or a player who is involved in a 'staff' or 'admin' sit is strictly prohibited.


Minimum Punishment: Warn

Maximum Punishment: 1 Day Ban


  • You may not falsely activate the Femur Breaker. False activation happens when there is no sacrifice present post Femur Breaker activation.


Minimum Punishment: Warn
Maximum Punishment: 12 Hour Ban


  1. No afking while playing a Non-Class D class.


Minimum Punishment: Demoted

Maximum Punishment: Kick


(C) Staff Related Rules


  1. Leaving to avoiding punishments (LTAP) by any means is forbidden.You may not kill yourself, change class, or disconnect from the server while in an admin sit. Violators have two minutes to reconnect else will be punished with an additional three day ban. If a game crash happens getting a screenshot of the error message is enough evidence to make an appeal and get the LTAP removed.


Punishment: 3 Day Ban + Punishment for commited offense.


  • Impersonation of a staff member in any way, shape, or form is strictly forbidden.


Minimum Punishment: 2 Week Ban

Maximum Punishment: Permanent Ban

  • Interfering with a staff sit is not permitted unless that person is a witness to the violation and has a testimony or evidence to supply.

Minimum Punishment: Warn

Maximum Punishment: 1 Day Ban


  1. Clarification of all rule interpretations including those not explicitly stated in the rules must be brought before the owner for determination. A punishment may or may not be decided based on the severity of the action. If a punishment is decided the MOTD will update to reflect that decision.


Minimum Punishment: Verbal Warning

Maximum Punishment: Permanent Ban

  • Falsifying a staff report and/or slandering another person to get them punished is prohibited.

Minimum Punishment: 1 Week Ban
Maximum Punishment: 1 Month Ban
Roleplay Rules
(A) Random Death Match (RDM)
  • Do not kill people on the same team as you unless you are a Class D. (Special Exception SCP 035 Host)
  • You may kill in self-defense if being attacked by someone of a different team. If a teammate is hurting you intentionally you may not RDM them. Either escape and report them or allow them to kill you and let the Auto-RDM Detector do it's job.
  • Breaking any of the 'Class Related' rules below related to killing another player constitutes as RDM.
  • Randomly harming a Non-Class D class on the same team is considered RDM unless you are a Class D or unless specified otherwise in the class related rules section.
  • You may not kill someone who is standing in a buy zone nor may someone who is in a buy zone kill players outside of the buy zone.
  • Killing a Class D who has attempted to steal from a Foundation or Chaos Insurgency class is not counted as RDM.


Minimum Punishment: Warn

Maximum Punishment: 3 Day Ban

(A-II) Mass Random Death Match (MRDM)
  • MRDM is defined as three of more counts of RDM within a short period of time, no less than 0 seconds and no more than 60 seconds.
  • Example: Two counts of RDM 120 seconds apart is not MRDM where as four counts of RDM within 15 seconds is considered MRDM.

Minimum Punishment: 1 Week
Maximum Punishment: 1 Week + 2 Days Per RDM


(B) Metagaming
  • Your character may not use information beyond their knowledge. This includes but is not limited any form of revenge killing, private messages from other players, or providings ingame information in OOC about yourself or others.

    Examples:
  • As an SCP, using OOC or advert to ask to be let out of containment - thus revealing your position.
  • Using the TargetID HUD, which displays a player's class and name, to identify and/or kill a Class D spy.


Minimum Punishment: Verbal Warning

Maximum Punishment: 1 Day Ban


(C) New Life Rule (NLR)
  • Once your character respawns it is considered a new life meaning you do not remember any details from your prior spawn.
  • You may not return to where you last died for 60 seconds with the exception of leaving spawn and there being no alternate route.


Minimum Punishment: Verbal Warning

Maximum Punishment: 1 Day Ban


(D) Fear Roleplay (FearRP)

  • If you are unarmed or SCP 049 you must listen to the commands given to you by the person pointing a gun at you. In instance another person attacks the gun holder you may break FearRP and attack the gunner.
  • Class D have the option to not obey FearRP in effort to escape.


Minimum Punishment: Verbal Warning

Maximum Punishment: 1 Day Ban


(E) Fail Roleplay (FailRP)

  • Killing yourself to avoid death or a role play situation is considered FailRP and not allowed. Such examples include killing yourself as a Class D to avoid SCP 106's containment procedure.
  • Breaking any of the 'Class Related' rules below not related to killing another player constitutes as FailRP.
  • SCPs that use weapons such as, but not limited to, knives and machettes when the SCP, in accordance to lore, cannot use such weapon it is considered FailRP.

Maximum Punishment: 1 Day Ban


(F) Restricted Areas


Site 8:
All SCPs may not camp in the four way room outside of Class D cells but may pass through it to get to another part of the Foundation Site to roam Site 8. SCPs may not enter the following rooms and Non-SCPs may not camp these rooms to obtain kills or inhibit roleplay.

  • CI Spawn: The entire area from the capture point to the red crates in front of it. SCPs may be brought through here to bring them to the capture point.
  • Class D and Security Spawn: The Class D cell block extending to the back wall of the cafeteria.
  • Janitor Spawn: The bathroom in the Entrance Zone.
  • Field Agent Spawn: The second floor of the outdoor builing near Gate A in which they spawn.
  • NTF: The second floor of the outdoor building near Gate A in which they spawn.
  • Other Spawns: The entire indoor room in which a class spawns.
  • Buyzones: The entire indoor room in which players access the shop menu with exception of SCP 035's Host who must not kill anyone inside the Buyzone.

    Site 19:
    All SCPs in Light Containment Zone may not go past the hallway containing SCP 012's containment cell in Site 19 and must go roam Site 19. SCP 173 must make its way past SCP 012's hallway upon escaping containment. SCPs may not enter the following rooms and Non-SCPs may not camp these rooms to obtain kills or inhibit roleplay.
  • CI Spawn: Buy zone area for CI all the way up to the capture point for Class D's and SCPs.
  • Class D and Security Spawn: Class D cells all the way to the Class D protection barrier.
  • Field Agent Spawn: The entire tower neat Gate A in which they spawn.
  • MTF Spawn: The cell room and mini-hallway next to the cell room in which MTF spawn.
  • NTF Spawn: The street downramp of Gate A's outside area.
  • Other Spawns: The entire indoor room in which a class spawns.
  • Buyzones: The entire indoor room in which players access the shop menu with exception of SCP 035's Host who must not kill anyone inside the Buyzone.


Minimum Punishment: 1 Day Ban

Maximum Punishment: 3 Day Ban


(G) Class D Supplying

  • Giving Class D weapons intentionally is strictly forbidden. You may not drop a gun as a non-Class D to later spawn as a Class D just to get that weapon.


Minimum Punishment: 1 Day Ban

Maximum Punishment: 2 Day Ban


(H-I) Handcuffing SCPs

You may only handcuff SCPs that have arms, are visible, and are not able to phase through solid material according to lore (such as, but not limited to, SCP 106 and SCP 343.) SCP 066 may be handcuffed by the C.I. if outside the Foundation facility for purposes of capture. Below is a list of SCPs that meet that criteria and can be handcuffed:

  • SCP 049
  • SCP 053
  • SCP 066 ( C.I. Only )
  • SCP 096 ( C.I. Only )
  • SCP 173 ( C.I. Only )
  • SCP 527


Minimum Punishment: Verbal Warning

Maximum Punishment: 1 Day Ban

(H-II) Breaking Out Handcuffs
You may only break out of handcuffs or restraints if:
  • You are an SCP in a locked containment cell or are an SCP alone in a room with no one dragging you.
  • You are a Class D that is alone with no armed Foundation staff in the same room or hallway as you.
  • You are a Foundation or Chaos Insurgency class and are not being held at gunpoint.


Minimum Punishment: Verbal Warning

Maximum Punishment: 1 Day Ban


(I) Erotic Roleplay (ERP)

We do not support Erotic Roleplay on the server. There are minors who play our server and we have zero tolerance to exposing minors to sexual content. Those who engage in ERP on the servers will be severely punished.


Examples:

  • Typing out sexual content to another player via text chat.
  • Using /me to act out sexual activities.
  • Playing a pre-recorded sound involving sexual content via voice chat.
  • Speaking sexual content via voice chat.


Minimum Punishment: 3 Month Ban

Maximum Punishment: Permanent Ban


(J) Kill On Sight (K.O.S.) Line

Kill On Sight (K.O.S.) lines are used to determine if a Class D is attempting to escape the Class D cells. Security have full right to terminate any Class D that passes the K.O.S. line if not escorted by a Researcher or Security. Class D killed on the 'Class D' side of the line will be counted as RDM unless the Class D refuses to obey orders or attacks a Foundation personnel. 


Valid orders are:

  • Coming with the researcher for testing.
  • Do not harm other Class D.
  • Drop your weapon.
  • Get back!
  • Move out of my way.
  • Get down from there.
  • Stop dancing on the piano.
  • Come out of your cell.
  • Don't hit the monkey!
  • Get out of that room!

Class Related

Chaos Insurgency (C.I.)
  • You may attack any Non-CI class except Class D unless in self-defense.
  • No teaming up with SCPs or Foundation classes.
  • You may not harm Dr. Maynard.
  • You must attempt to capture either SCPs, Class D, or Foundation staff and bring them to the Capture Point.

Class D
  • Must follow orders unless trying to escape.
  • No teaming up with SCPs or Foundation classes to escape. CI may escort you out of Site 19.
  • Class D-9341 is not effected by NLR.
  • As a Class D Spy you must abide by the class rules of the class you become except team killing and Class D supplying.
  • As a Class D Theif you may supply other Class D.
Location: Site 8 | Site 19
Foundation ( General )
The following rules apply to all Foundation Staff classes:
  • You must not harm SCP 131 and SCP 999 under any circumstances.
  • You must not harm SCP 527 unless in self defense.
  • You must not harm other Foundation staff intentionally except:
       1) Dr. Maynard (see Dr. Maynard rules)
  • You must kill or alert other Foundation staff of all non-escorted Class D that go past the K.O.S. Line in Class D cells or Chaos Insurgency who enter the Foundation.
  • You must not team up with Class D, Chaos Insurgency, or SCPs except:
       1) Dr. Maynard who may team up with Chaos Insurgency.
       2) Agent Asumi who may team up with SCP 860-2.
  • You must act in the best interest of the Foundation.
  • You must not intentionally release SCPs except:
       1) Dr. Maynard if not in the room with another Foundation member.
  • Upon spotting an escaped SCP you must either report it, contain it, run away, or terminate it depending on it's containment procedures.
  • You must not order Foundation staff to violate rules on the MOTD and may refuse orders that violate the MOTD.
  • You must obey rules from the Site Director and Dr. Cliff except:
       1) Dr. Bright
       2) Dr. Maynard if alone with the Site Director or in the presence of Chaos Insurgency.
 Location: Site 8 | Site 19
Foundation ( Management )
(A) Dr. Bright
  • You must abide by Dr. Bright Rules.
  • Your profession is a Researcher who has been promoted to Director of Personnel for Site 19.
  • The following roleplay rules do not apply to you: NLR, FearRP, Breaking out of Handcuffs and Metagaming with the following exceptions:
        1) Class D Spys who are disguised are protected from Metagaming via the TargetID HUD.
  • You must not recontain SCPs - instead you must order MTF and/or NTF to recontain SCPs.
  • You may test on SCPs as according to the Dr. Bright Rules.
  • After killing Dr. Maynard once you must wait for him to do something traitorous before killing him again.


(B) Security Chief Franklin
  • Upon spotting an escaped SCP you must attempt to recapture it.
  • You may escort Researchers to safety in instance of a containment breach.
  • You may use an Elastic Restraint purchased from a Buy Zone in order to capture SCPs that have no containment method.
  • You are not required to be the body guard of a Researcher.


(C) Site Director
  • You must order the Foundation staff to keep SCPs and Class D contained, keep the C.I. out of Site 8 and Site 19, and ensure Research is being performed on the SCPs.


(D) Dr. Cliff

  • You must help the Site Director order the Foundation staff to keep SCPs and Class D contained, keep the C.I. out of Site 19, and ensure Research is being performed on the SCPs.
  • You may escort Researchers to safety in instance of a containment breach.
  • You may use an Elastic Restraint purchased from a Buy Zone in order to capture SCPs that have no containment method.
  • You are not required to be the body guard of a Researcher.


(E) Directors ( Agent Goodly / Agent Lang / Agent Ross / Dr. Geo )

  • You may escort Researchers to safety in instance of a containment breach.
  • You may use an Elastic Restraint purchased from a Buy Zone in order to capture SCPs that have no containment method.
  • You are not required to be the body guard of a Researcher.
  • Experiments may be conducted without Agent Goodly present but he may observe at any time.
Location: Site 8: (C)+(D)+(E) | Site 19: (A)+(B)+(C)
Foundation (Misc)
(A) Janitor
  • You may only enter and roleplay cleaning a cell of an SCP under supervision of an MTF.
  • You must ask an MTF to aid in the cleaning of acell.
  • You must obey orders from all Foundation staff.


(B) Medic

  • You may not heal C.I. Agents unless under FearRP.
  • You must obey orders from all Foundation staff.
  • You may heal Class D's if instructed to.
  • You may assist in research with an SCP if asked to.


(C) Technician

  • You must obey orders from all Foundation staff when a repair is needed.
  • You must go around fixing or performing maintenance on doors.
  • Using Tech Tools to break a door (examples below) will be considered as exploiting, which has a one month minimum ban, in addition to FailRP.
  • Using Tech Tools to let SCPs out of containment is not allowed.


Examples of breaking a door include, but are not limited to:

  • Closing only one side of a door and leaving the other side open for more than 30 seconds.
  • Closing elevator doors to prevent them from being opened when pressing the elevator button for more than 30 seconds.

Foundation ( MTF Division )
(A) Security
  • You may escort a Class D accompanied by a Researcher to a SCP testing chamber.
  • You must make sure Class D do not escape the Class D cell block.
  • If not escorting a Class D or Researcher you may not leave the Class D cell block.
  • You may escort Class D anywhere in the Light Containment Zone or Heavy Containment Zone but may not enter the Entrance Zone.
  • If you do not have anyone to escort anymore you must head back to the Class D cells.
  • You must obey orders from Security Chief Franklin.

(B) MTF
  • You may escort Researchers to safety in instance of a containment breach.
  • You may use an Elastic Restraint purchased from a Buy Zone in order to capture SCPs that have no containment method.
  • If asked you must be the body guard of a Head Researcher.
  • You may be used as a test subject for researcher with an SCP. You must obey all orders from any researchers involved in the experiment.

(C) Nine-Tailed-Fox
  • You may escort Researchers to safety in instance of a containment breach.
  • You may use an Elastic Restraint purchased from a Buy Zone in order to capture SCPs that have no containment method.
  • You are not required to be the body guard of a Researcher.


(D) Field Agent

  • You are not allowed inside Site 19 past Gate A and Gate B.


(E) Agent Asumi

  • You may team up with SCP 860-2.
  • You may escort Researchers to safety in instance of a containment breach.
  • You may use an Elastic Restraint purchased from a Buy Zone in order to capture SCPs that have no containment method.
  • If asked you must be the body guard of a Head Researcher.
  • You may be used as a test subject for researcher with an SCP. You must obey all orders from any researchers involved in the experiment.

(F) Maz Hatters
  • You must prevent the outbreak of SCP 008 at all costs.
  • You may not shoot an infected Foundation member until they turn into SCP 008.
  • You are not effected by SCP 035's temptation to put it on.
  • You may aid in testing done with SCP 008.

Foundation ( Researcher Division )
(A) Researcher
  • You may request a MTF to escort a Class D with you to do testing on an SCP.
  • You are cleared for testing with Safe and Euclid SCPs without assistance from a Head Researcher.
  • You may test with Keter class SCPs in the presence of a Head Researcher.
  • You may take up to two Class D for every one Security escorting you for research purposes.


(B) Head Researchers ( Dr. Gears / Dr. Harp )

  • You may request a MTF to escort a Class D with you to do testing on an SCP.
  • You are cleared for testing with all SCP classes.
  • You may test with Keter class SCPs in the presence of a Head Researcher.
  • You may have a personal MTF body guard at all times.
  • You may assist Researchers in Keter level experiments.


(C) Head Researchers ( Dr. Maynard )

  • You may request a MTF to escort a Class D with you to do testing on an SCP.
  • You are cleared for testing with all SCP classes.
  • You may test with Keter class SCPs.
  • You may have a personal MTF body guard at all times.
  • You must make an attempt to let the Chaos Insurgency into the facility.
  • You may turn off the power and open the doors leading to Gate A and Gate B.
  • You may assist Researchers in Keter level experiments.
  • You may only kill or harm Foundation members if that Foundation member and you are the only two Foundation members in the room.
  • You may not harm Chaos Insurgency members.


(D) Assistant Ross

  • You may request a MTF to escort a Class D with you to do testing on an SCP.
  • You may test with Safe, Euclid, and Keter class SCPs in the presence of a Head Researcher.
  • You must obey orders from Researchers and Head Researchers.

SCP 008-1
  • You must attempt to kill everyone who is not an instance of SCP 008, not infected with SCP 008, or another SCP.
  • You may not kill other instances of SCP 008.
  • You may not let SCPs out of containment.
  • You may not team up with human players.
  • You may not spawn camp in the Class D containment cells.
  • You may not verbally communicate with humans.
  • You may not pick up or use weapons.
Containment Rules:

SCP 035 Host
  • The only roleplay rules that apply to you are: NLR, ERP, Metagaming, and Restricted Areas.
  • You may kill whoever you want except SCP 049.
  • Absolutely no teaming up with any other class with exception of SCP 049.
  • You may not spawn camp in the Class D containment cells.
  • You may verbally communicate with humans.
  Containment Rules:

SCP 049
  • You may kill every human in sight with the exception of those who are medical doctors ( Medic ).
  • You may interact and speak to humans while in containment.
  • Absolutely no teaming up with any other class with exception of SCP 035 Host.
  • You may not spawn camp in the Class D containment cells.
  • You may verbally communicate with humans.
 Containment Rules:
  • You must abide by FearRP unless the one putting fear into you is being attacked upon which you may kill them.
  • You may kill this SCP to contain it if it does not abide by FearRP after given ample chance to abide.

SCP 049-2
  • You must attempt to kill everyone who is not an instance of SCP 049-2 or another SCP.
  • You may not kill other instances of SCP 049.
  • You may not let SCPs out of containment.
  • You may not team up with human players.
  • You may not spawn camp in the Class D containment cells.
  • You may not verbally communicate with humans.
  • You may not pick up or use weapons.
Containment Rules:

SCP 053
  • You may command SCP 682.
  • You may not team up with any other SCP than 682.
  • You may not spawn camp in the Class D containment cells.
  • Anyone around you must have a desire to harm you after 120 seconds of being near you.
  • You may communicate with humans though you may not disclose any information about your ability. Those who speak with you must attempt to kill you.
 Containment Rules:
  • You may be detained with handcuffs and brought back to your containment cell.
  • Nerve gas may be used to detain you.
 Location: Site 8
SCP 066
  • You must look for Eric. Only you know what he looks like and have the final say of who he is.
  • Absolutely no teaming up with any other class unless it is a human named "Eric."
  • You may kill any human named "Eric."
  • You may not spawn camp in the Class D containment cells.
  • You may verbally communicate with humans.
Containment Rules:
  • Foundation must use a tungsten carbide box to detain you.
  • Chaos Insurgency may use handcuffs on the surface and must use a tungsten carbide box in the facility to bring you to the capture point.

SCP 079
  • You may not verbally communicate and team up with any class other than humans classes and SCP 682.
  • You may optionally help or destroy the Foundation.
  • You may verbally communicate with humans in your containment cell or via camera.
Containment Rules:
  • Turn off the Remote Door Control Lever.
  • Turn off the Remote Detonation Alpha Warhead Lever.
  • You may not be handcuffed.

SCP 096
  • You may only kill whomever has seen your face and must advert when your face has been seen while becoming distressed.
  • Absolutely no teaming up with any other class.
  • When not stressed you must wander around aimlessly.
  • You may not spawn camp in the Class D containment cells.
  • You may not run up to people just to see their face.
